MADE inMourne

MADE in Mourne is a craft shop and creative hub on Greencastle Street in Kilkeel, run as a not-for-profit social enterprise. The shop retails the work of local designer-makers and food producers under one roof, having supported dozens of makers from the Mourne area since it opened, and stocks ceramics, textiles, jewellery, prints, candles, soaps, artisan food and home decor. Alongside the retail floor it runs a business hub with shared and private workspace over two floors, aimed at small local enterprises. The model gives independent makers a bricks-and-mortar outlet they would struggle to sustain alone, and gives visitors a single place to buy locally made goods rather than mass-produced souvenirs. It trades both in-store and through its online shop. The premises sits on Kilkeel's main shopping street, within reach of the harbour and the Mourne coast road.
