Market Hall Records trades from an upstairs unit in the Gallery arcade on the Shambles, a shop that has been buying, trading and selling secondhand vinyl in Worcester for close to twenty years. The stock runs across genres, from prog rock, blues, punk and reggae to soul, folk, heavy metal and film soundtracks, built up by buying in individual records and whole collections. The shop keeps a deliberate rule against selling online: whatever comes in through the door goes onto the shelves rather than into a web listing, so browsing in person is the only way to see the full stock. Opening hours are limited to four days a week, Wednesday to Saturday, with the shop closed Sunday to Tuesday.
