McGoldrick's Home Bakery& Coffee Shop

Joseph and Christine McGoldrick took over this Ann Street bakery in 2020, continuing a bakehouse-and-coffee-shop pairing on the same site with a new name. The ground floor turns out traditional Irish and European breads and savouries each morning, while bespoke celebration cakes for weddings, christenings and birthdays are built to order in a dedicated decorating room. Upstairs, the coffee shop serves breakfast and lunch from the same kitchen, using ingredients bought from local suppliers where possible. The business won Best Traditional Bakery and Family Business of the Year for County Antrim at the 2024 SME UK Enterprise Awards. Trading from the same Ann Street address as the town's long-running former bakery, the couple have kept the counter format while rebuilding the customer base under their own name.
