Mourne Mountains Brewery has brewed from a unit on the Upper Dromore Road industrial estate in Warrenpoint since 2015, founded by Connaire McGreevy after travels visiting craft breweries abroad, with Tom Ray as head brewer. The brewery draws its process water from the Mourne Mountains and produces a rotating range that has included West Coast and New England-style pale ales, a session IPA, a dry Irish stout called Spectre and a pilsner named Mourne Mist, all packaged in cans and kegs for the independent trade. A taproom at the brewery opens on Saturday afternoons and evenings, pouring fresh versions of the core range alongside one-off small batches not otherwise bottled or canned. It remains owned outright by its founders rather than a tied estate.
