East CoastAdventure Centre

East Coast Adventure is a family-run outdoor activity centre on Lower Knockbarragh Road, in the hills above Rostrevor within the Mourne Mountains area. Established in 1992, it runs guided and instructed activities on Carlingford Lough and in the surrounding forest and uplands, including sea kayaking, Canadian canoeing on the Newry Canal, paddleboarding, indoor archery, a climbing tower, team-building days and guided mountain and night hikes. On-site facilities have expanded to include a sauna, hot tubs and a cold plunge, plus overnight accommodation in glamping pods and the Rostrevor Mountain Lodge, which lets it host residential groups, schools and stag or hen parties. Sessions run for individuals, families and larger groups through the year. It operates from this single Rostrevor base rather than multiple centres, and instructors hold the relevant outdoor qualifications for the water and land activities offered.
