John Shinner bought Priory Farm at South Nutfield, near Redhill, in 1957, and the farm has stayed in the Shinner family ever since, now run by his sons. What began as a working farm has grown into a farm shop and bakery selling produce, meat from an in-house butchery counter and home-baked goods, alongside a garden centre, a gift barn, a children's nature trail called Discovery Land, and two on-site cafés, the Garden Room and the Shepherd's Hut. The farm shop is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5.30pm and Sunday and bank holidays from 10.30am to 4.30pm, with the cafés and garden centre keeping broadly similar hours.
