Restaurant Twenty Two occupies a Victorian townhouse on Chesterton Road, a few minutes' walk from Jesus Green, in a building dating to 1892 with original stained glass still in place. It is the debut restaurant of chef Sam Carter, formerly of Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, and his business partner Alex Olivier, and holds a Michelin star. Seating is limited to 22 covers in the main dining room, with a separate 14-seat private dining room available for small groups. The kitchen serves tasting menus at both lunch and dinner, built around British produce and changing through the seasons, alongside a shorter set-lunch option on weekdays. As an independent restaurant with limited seating, bookings for Friday and Saturday evenings are typically made several weeks ahead, and the restaurant asks guests to honour reservations or give notice of changes.
