Mick Westrip and Alice Tite run Rhos Organic from a converted garage on West Street in Knighton, opposite the old library, selling vegetables and flowers grown on their own market garden alongside produce from other certified organic growers. The holding has held Soil Association organic certification since 2010. Alongside fresh produce, the shop stocks organic wholefoods, local bread and household refills, cutting down on packaging for regular customers who bring back their own containers. Weekly vegetable bags, sold in three sizes, are prepared for collection at points in both Knighton and Presteigne, extending the shop's reach beyond the town itself. The shop is open Wednesday to Friday from 9am to 4pm and Saturday mornings until 2pm, run as a single small holding rather than a wider retail chain.
