A free house wedged between the old cottages at the edge of Polperro's fishing harbour, named for the Blue Peter signal flag and run by the same family for more than twenty years. Two changing casks lean Cornish with Devon guests alongside, the cider comes from Healys, there is live music at the weekend, and the building — eighteenth-century in origin, listed, inside the conservation area — stands yards from the fish quay and the beach. The house line over the door says it: enter as strangers, leave as friends.
