A stone-built free house on the River Wye at Penallt, dating from 1650 and most easily reached on foot across the old railway bridge from Redbrook. Independently owned, it stocks a rotating range of local ciders and cask ales alongside a seasonally changing, home-cooked menu. Popular with walkers, cyclists and canoeists.
