Corsham's bookshop opened at 16 Martingate in 2002, and its current proprietor — in the shop since the first day — bought it from the founder in 2008 and has kept it the town's fixture since: books, cards and stationery on the high street, children's reading sessions in the calendar, and a place in the town council's own telling of its high-street history. A single-shop independent of the steadiest kind, still taking National Book Tokens and still open six days a week.
