Jane ScottCeramics

Jane Scott trained at Bath Spa University before setting up her ceramics studio at Lancefield Studios in Pickwick, on the edge of Corsham. She works mainly in hand building and slab building rather than the wheel, and has developed her own pigment-free underglaze medium and high-pigment decorating slips, made in small batches on site. The studio runs beginner and improver pottery classes across summer and autumn terms, a Pottery Brunch Club, one-off workshops on oxides and surface decoration, and private tuition by appointment. Finished pieces and studio equipment are sold through an on-site shop. Bertie, a border terrier, is usually somewhere underfoot during sessions.
