The GroveBookshop

The Grove Bookshop has traded from 10 The Grove in Ilkley since 1979 and has been managed by Mike Sansbury since 2010, following earlier spells at Waterstones, Union Books at Leeds University and Oxford University Press. The shop has served as official bookseller to the Ilkley Literature Festival since 2001, stocking festival titles and hosting author signings each October. Shelves carry a curated range of new titles, a children's section and a dedicated travel department. Customers can order books for next-day collection or home delivery, alongside a 24-hour click-and-collect service. During the pandemic Sansbury kept the shop trading through three lockdowns by building an online ordering system. Trading hours run Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5.30pm and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
