Tilt Kitchen

Tilt Kitchen occupies a shopfront on Preston Drove, run by Kate, Helen and Georgia. The café began as Tilt Coffee Shop in 2014, adding a kitchen menu in 2018 to serve weekday breakfasts and daily-changing lunches built from whole foods rather than processed substitutes. Salads, frittatas and bakes shift with the seasons, and the short lunch board is chalked up fresh each morning rather than printed. Local artwork covers the walls, and dogs are welcome alongside regulars working through coffee and cake. There is outdoor seating for fair weather, and vegetarian and vegan dishes sit on the menu as standard rather than as a side option. The café keeps to a compact, unfussy room, favouring a short daily menu over a fixed printed one.
