Rebecca Scrivins, known as Bex, opened Pepper Pot Pottery on George Street in Kemptown after training as a ceramicist at the University for the Creative Arts and building her wheel skills at Star Pottery in Lewes. The shared studio houses ten resident artists working across ceramics, jewellery and paper alongside Scrivins and her partner Will. Three-hour sessions cover wheel-throwing or hand-building, run on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with four-week courses for those wanting to progress beyond a single visit. Couples and small groups can book together, and longer-term makers can take up a studio membership or apply for an Artist in Residence place. The name nods to the founder's own ties to home and family.
