Canham &Sons

Canham & Sons has traded from 48 Church Road in Hove for more than four decades, run throughout by the same family of butchers and bakers. Frank Canham, a formative figure in the shop's history, is still remembered by long-standing customers and staff today. The single counter shop sells traditional cuts of meat alongside home-baked pies, sausage rolls and bread, with a small deli selection alongside the main counter. It remains independent and single-sited, with no other branches beyond Church Road. Regulars come for the same combination of proper butchery and fresh baking under one roof, a pairing increasingly rare on the British high street, and for service from staff who know most customers by name.
