Underground Vinyl opened in April 2022 in a basement space at 268 Chiswick High Road, founded by Giulia Tonci Russo and run alongside Dan Coombes and David Szunyog. The shop deals mainly in second-hand vinyl spanning rock, pop, soul, R&B, jazz, blues, reggae, folk and classical, with a smaller stock of new pressings, and buys collections and individual records from sellers as well as selling to browsers and collectors. Its basement setting beneath a bookshop on Chiswick High Road gives it a browsing character distinct from other West London record shops, with stock turning over through local trade-ins rather than centralised distribution. The shop is listed on Discogs' directory of UK record stores and draws customers making a single trip along Chiswick High Road for both books and records. It continues to trade as a single Chiswick outlet rather than expanding to further branches since opening.
