Everybody Reads opened at 6 Chiswick High Road on 4 July 2024, the day of the 2024 UK general election, under owners Carol and David Kosse. David previously served as head of International Film at Netflix before turning to bookselling with his wife in a shop that once housed a Warhammer outlet. The stock favours a curated selection of new fiction and children's titles over an exhaustive backlist, and staff offer free gift wrapping and quick ordering for anything not on the shelves. The shop stands near the junction with Goldhawk Road, where Chiswick meets Hammersmith, close to Stamford Brook station. Alongside books, the counter carries stationery, greeting cards and board games. Carol and David describe the shop's aim as encouraging literacy and community connection among Chiswick residents through regular events and staff recommendations.
