The Wansford Country Lounge opened in 2017 as a café bar on London Road in Wansford, a village on the old Great North Road close to the Nene Valley Railway. It serves breakfast, with a full English cooked daily, plus light lunches such as salads, sandwiches and hummus plates, cakes and coffee, and evening meals on selected dates. Inside there is a wood burner for colder months and a terrace for warmer days. Alongside the café the same business runs a small bed-and-breakfast of three rooms sleeping up to nine guests, each with a fridge and desk, with breakfast provided. It trades as Wansford Country Lounge Ltd, an independent single-site operation rather than a chain. The village sits just off the A1, handy for the steam railway, the River Nene and walks around Wansford, Yarwell and the wider Nene valley.
