Waterfront Gallery occupies the Old Sail Loft on Discovery Quay in Milford Haven docks, a Grade II listed building that once serviced Nantucket whaling ships and ranks as the second oldest structure on the waterfront. The gallery was reborn under its current name in 2003 as a not-for-profit company, gaining charitable status in 2008, and now shows around fifty local artists and makers across roughly 3,000 square feet of exhibition space, with about eight changing shows a year plus permanent work from resident exhibitors. Mediums on display run from painting and photography to ceramics, textiles, glass, metalwork and sculpture, most of it responding to the Pembrokeshire coast. The charity also places school and college leavers in internships within the gallery, supporting new talent rather than only selling established names.
