West Coast Coffee began in December 2021 as a converted vintage horse box parked on the Aigburth Drive perimeter of Sefton Park, where the team still serves espresso and filter coffee. The roastery runs a Giesen W15A machine imported from Holland, roasting single-origin lots and a house Sefton Park blend in small weekly batches. The business describes itself as independent and family-run, supplying wholesale beans to cafes and offices across the region alongside a subscription service for home brewing. The approach draws on Australian and New Zealand coffee culture, favouring small-batch roasting over volume, with roast dates printed on every bag sold direct from the cart.
