Espresso Plus

Espresso Plus sits at 173 Rose Lane in Mossley Hill, owned by Tim Gray, who works the floor most mornings while his daughter Anna runs the day-to-day operation. The coffee bar started as a twenty-seat tea room and has since doubled in size into a fully licensed bistro with proper table service, a point of difference from the chain cafés nearby. The daytime menu runs from full English breakfasts and smoked salmon to superfood plates and protein pancakes, with lunchtime sandwiches, salads and steak ciabattas. Once a month the shop hosts a wine tasting evening pairing four courses with themed wines. Espresso Plus also sponsors a midweek cricket team at nearby Sefton Park Cricket Club. Doors close at 5pm on weekdays and Saturdays, 4pm on Sundays, with occasional late nights for private events.
