West End Garden Centre operates from the grounds of West of Scotland Cricket Club on Peel Street, on the Partick side of Glasgow's West End. The business has traded independently for around two decades, building a reputation for houseplants alongside a wider range of hardy outdoor plants, pots and garden accessories; hardy plants come with a three-year guarantee. Staff run a design advice service, informally referred to as the centre's 'Genius Bar', where customers can get help planning beds, borders or container displays, alongside a programme of workshops that has included printmaking sessions. A loyalty scheme called the Community Club gives regular customers ongoing discounts. The centre is open every day of the week and remains one of relatively few independent plant retailers with grounds of this scale inside the city rather than on its outskirts.
