Zoo Brew

Zoo Brew has brewed on the Capel Hendre industrial estate outside Ammanford since 2019, run by the Prigmore family under the name Zoo Brew Limited. Four fermenters let the small team mash in batches of up to 840 litres a day, producing a core range that includes Amman Eagle, Towy Tiger and Merlin's Own Ales alongside occasional one-off brews. In 2021 the business added Three Oaks Distillery, commissioning its first still to produce vodka, spiced rum, gin and fruit variations of both. Visitors can book a brewery and distillery experience to see the mashing and fermentation process and taste the range on site, though casual walk-in visits are not part of the offer. The business delivers orders of six bottles or more free of charge to SA1 to SA33 postcodes every Friday, reaching Llanelli and Carmarthen alike.
