Argyll Sea Tours operates small-boat wildlife and sightseeing trips from the Oban Times Slipway on the North Pier, run by Jack and Linda Macgregor, both born and raised in Oban. Their vessel, the MV Creagallan, carries up to twelve passengers on a one-hour seal-watching trip around the north end of Kerrera, a two-hour combined wildlife and history cruise, and a three-hour mackerel fishing trip with tackle supplied. The couple also take bookings for private charters, including weddings and family celebrations, and run a separate left-luggage service for day-trippers on North Pier. Sailings depend on tide and weather and are confirmed by phone or email the day before departure. Dogs are welcome aboard. The business trades alongside the fishing and ferry traffic that still uses Oban's harbour, and the Macgregors point out seal colonies, seabirds and wartime gun emplacements along the Sound of Kerrera during the standard trips.
