Bradwell Butchery

Established in 1986 by Andrew Edmonds and still family-run from Towngate in the Hope Valley village of Bradwell, this is a butcher, bakery and delicatessen under one roof. The counters carry beef, pork, lamb, bacon, ham, poultry, game and local venison, much of it sourced from farms across the surrounding dales. A bakery was added in 2010, with white, wholemeal, granary and seeded loaves, rolls, cakes and pies made from scratch each morning where customers can watch the bakers at work. The deli side stocks regional and continental cheeses, cured meats, filled rolls and ready meals. The shop was named best butcher's shop for the Midlands and East of England region at the Butcher's Shop of the Year Awards. It operates from this one site only, with no other branches.
