Bob and Sandra Burns took over the High Street bakery in 1983 — the site had been baking since 1800 — and the firm now runs through three generations: daughter Terri, grandchildren Max and Casey, six shops across Somerset and a School of Baking opened in 2016. The Glastonbury shop at 14 High Street remains the flagship and the head office, and the family's names still fill the company's register, no chain or investor anywhere in it.
