Búth na h-Abhainn(The Top Shop)

Búth na h-Abhainn, trading as the Top Shop, is Broadford's independent general store on Ford Road, serving the town and the wider Strath area for more than a century. Alongside a Post Office Local counter, the shop runs a butcher and deli counter selling fresh and frozen meat and seafood, and stocks local produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh bread, wine, beer and gin, and everyday groceries under a SPAR symbol-group arrangement. Customers can phone ahead to have specific cuts or specialist items brought in for next-day collection. The shop also sells gifts, ice cream and newspapers, and runs a bean-to-cup coffee machine for takeaway coffee. As one of the few full-service shops between Kyleakin and Portree, it functions as a practical stop for residents and visitors, combining a butcher and deli counter with a village convenience store, and remains independently owned rather than operating as part of a retail chain.
