Roger and Andrea Holden set up Skye Weavers in 2012 in a weaving shed beside their croft house at Fasach, on the road out to Neist Point. Their looms run on pedal power rather than electricity, turning local wool into tweed, scarves and throws that are cut and sewn into garments and homeware on site. Visitors can walk down to the shed and watch the looms working, though the business runs as a working shop rather than a teaching studio. Yarn comes from the Skye Wool range, sourced from farmers on the island rather than imported fleece. The shop and shed keep summer hours of Tuesday to Saturday, ten until five, with a fortnight's closure each August.
