Ceci Paolo was founded around 2000 by Patricia Harrison, an Australian who had worked internationally for more than three decades before opening the shop inside a sixteenth-century timber-framed building on Ledbury High Street. The name borrows from Paolo Ceci, one of her earliest suppliers. The deli sells cheeses, cured meats, smoked fish, homemade salads, tarts and baked goods with a Mediterranean and Oriental slant, alongside a small range of kitchen and lifestyle goods. Ceci Paolo is credited locally with helping establish Ledbury's run of independent shops through the 1990s and 2000s, and the company was formally incorporated in February 2001. It continues to trade as a single-site business from this one High Street address.
