Ad-Astra Records

Nigel Westwood and Emma Durmaz opened Ad-Astra Records on School Lane in Leominster in 2023, stocking new vinyl alongside a pre-loved section that is ultrasonically cleaned before it reaches the racks. The shop covers rock, pop, indie and other genres, runs a record-finding service for customers hunting a specific pressing, and takes pre-orders on forthcoming limited editions and reissues. Both owners have described being surprised by how many younger customers are discovering vinyl and how much they already know about the music. The shop mascot, a bulldog named Miss Edna, keeps her own working hours behind the counter. Leominster is a small market town, and the shop trades as a single, independently owned outlet rather than part of a regional chain, shipping UK-wide from the one site.
