Andrew Morris opened Cheers Wine Merchants as a single off-licence in West Cross in 1983. His son Dafydd joined the business fifteen years later, and together they built it into a wine merchant supplying local bars, restaurants and hotels as well as walk-in customers. The West Cross Lane shop stocks wine, spirits, beer and cider alongside the family's own branded rum, Mor Ladron. A second shop trades in Mumbles. The West Cross premises opens seven days a week, with longer hours from Wednesday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm, shorter hours on Monday and Tuesday, and Sunday trading from 11am to 7pm.
