Confelicity Bakery opened on Bruntsfield Place in late 2025, founded by chef James Chapman after a period as head chef for Tom Kitchin. The bakery and café produces bread, cakes, pastries and savoury items made entirely without gluten, aimed at coeliac and gluten-intolerant customers as well as anyone eating in or buying to take away. Sandwiches, traybakes and seasonal dishes are prepared on site each day, with sourdough loaves and celebration cakes available to order. The shop sits among the cluster of independent food businesses along Bruntsfield Place and has become a stop for the local coeliac community, who often struggle to find bakeries producing gluten-free goods at this scale rather than as a token addition to a standard menu. Seating is limited to a handful of tables inside.
