Dart MountainCheese

Dart Mountain Cheese is made by Kevin and Julie Hickey at Tamnagh Foods, their farm business on Tamnagh Road outside Park, below Sawel and Dart Mountain in the Sperrins. Julie Hickey set up the company in June 2010, and in 2012 the couple converted a farm building into a licensed production unit with its own maturing rooms. The cheeses, including Sperrin Blue and Carraig Bán, use milk sourced from farms across the Sperrins and are matured on site before sale. The business also produces granola, chutneys and relishes under the Tamnagh Foods name, and runs tours where visitors can see the maturing rooms and taste directly from the current batch.
