Chris and Jessica Gallagher opened Duck Goose on the corner of St Edward Street and High Street in Leek, closing their nearby takeaway, Gallagher's Deli & Kitchen, to run the bistro full time. Anita took over as the second owner in 2025, keeping the kitchen team and the format of a short, regularly changing menu built around seasonal, locally sourced ingredients rather than a long card. Steak features on the dinner menu on Fridays and Saturdays, when service runs alongside lunch, and a Sunday roast replaces the evening sitting. Only the building's ground floor is currently in use, with a further downstairs room still to be refurbished. Enjoy Staffordshire's tourism awards have twice named Duck Goose Casual Dining Restaurant of the Year. The bistro is closed Monday to Wednesday.
