Eleven Fifty Five opened on Argyle Street in February 2026, taking over the Finnieston site vacated when chef Peter McKenna closed The Gannet after years of trading. McKenna runs the kitchen with Kevin Dow front of house, pitching the new restaurant as a neighbourhood bistro rather than a formal tasting-menu room. The 52-cover room was refitted with cosy booths and dark timber, a design brief that drew on Irish snugs, Parisian bistros and McKenna's own Monaghan upbringing. The short, seasonal menu leans on French bistro technique applied to Scottish produce, with lunch served Wednesday to Saturday and dinner Tuesday to Saturday. Wine is chosen to match the food rather than to impress, and the pace favours long lunches over fast turnover. It is McKenna and Dow's first venture together as full partners.
