Feather Felts

Feather Felts runs from a working studio in Hunmanby, a few miles inland from Filey, where Jane teaches needle and wet felting to small groups through the week. Wet felting days run as full sessions, working raw wool into finished pieces with soap, water and repetition rather than a sewing machine. Alongside the workshops, the studio sells needle felting kits, pre-cut and measured for people working at home, plus dyed wool tops and finishing tools in a range not typically stocked by general craft shops. Model animals and figures made on-site show the range of what the technique can produce, from simple beginner projects to detailed finished sculptures. Bookings for wet felting days and workshops are taken directly through the studio's own site.
