Flowerhorn Brewery

Flowerhorn Brewery was set up in August 2019 by friends Andrew and Arran, who began brewing pale ales and fruity IPAs before moving into their own premises at The Bridge Studios on Western Avenue in Fairwater the following year. The five-barrel plant sits behind a taproom serving the brewery's core beers alongside changing guest lines, wines and spirits. Cans and bottles carry surreal, brightly coloured artwork distinct from the branding used by most Cardiff breweries. The taproom opens only at weekends, Friday afternoon into the evening and across Saturday and Sunday, when visitors can drink a few metres from the tanks where the beer was made. The brewery has stayed independent and small-batch rather than expanding into contract brewing, keeping production centred on this single Fairwater site.
