Highland Glass is a working studio and shop on Craigard Road above Oban, run by glass artists Colin and Gail Goodall. Colin has worked in glass for 35 years and Gail for 17, and both make and sell stained, fused, etched and blown glass on site, much of it worked from recycled glass reformed in their own kilns. The premises, known locally as the Wee Hut on the Hill, are open daily, and visitors can watch pieces being made and talk to the makers about technique. Designs draw on Highland and island imagery, from wildlife to folklore figures, alongside practical items such as bowls, jewellery and light-catchers. The studio also stocks work by a second local maker, sold exclusively in their shop. Prices start from a few pounds for small pieces up to larger commissioned work, and pieces are shipped worldwide through an online shop. The business has no other branches and operates from this single hillside site above the town.
