House of Elrick Gin is distilled on the grounds of the Elrick estate near Newmachar, next to the property's listed walled garden. Stuart Ingram bought the estate in 2014 and built a purpose-built distillery there, bringing production back to a house that had fallen out of family use, with the gin first released in 2018. Each batch is limited to around 600 bottles, distilled with seven botanicals including juniper, angelica root, sweet fennel and rose petals alongside citrus peel and pink peppercorns. The estate offers distillery tours explaining the process from botanical selection to bottling, run by the family who still live at Elrick House. The business operates from this single estate site only, with no separate bars or shops elsewhere, and bottles are sold online and through independent stockists rather than a chain of its own.
