Rosie and Sarah opened Juno on Chapel Walk in 2022 as Yorkshire's first feminist bookshop — in premises the shop's own history links to Sheffield's suffragette movement, a claim passed on in the shop's voice — and built the whole civic apparatus fast: book clubs, author talks, zine workshops, children's sessions, and a community fund that puts books in hands that can't stretch to them. Faber has featured it as an independent bookshop of the month, and the stock does what the sign promises with range and cheerfulness. A young shop behaving like an institution; Sheffield has taken the hint.
