Jon and Jo, who also run the Coffee Culture roastery, took over the Church Lane premises in Ledbury after its previous tenants, Jim and Tracey, retired from running the Malthouse Cafe there. They reopened the cobbled-lane address as La Maison Bistro, a French-inspired neighbourhood spot serving all-day breakfast and lunch from Tuesday to Saturday, with ingredients sourced from within a ten-mile radius. A small coffee and cocktail bar runs alongside the dining room, and the couple pull espresso on machines from their own roastery. The result reads as a compact, personal project rather than a formal restaurant, with a short seasonal menu and weekend evening specials that change according to what is available locally that week.
