Elle Porteous founded Loud Mouth Coffee as a roastery before opening this café inside Black Swan Arts on Bridge Street. The counter runs on beans roasted a short walk away at the company's unit on Jenson Avenue, ground to order for filter, espresso and pour-over. Cakes and traybakes are baked in house daily, with vegan and gluten-free options clearly marked rather than treated as an afterthought. The room keeps its arts-centre bones: high windows, mismatched furniture, community noticeboards by the door. Table reservations are not taken, so regulars queue at busy weekend mid-mornings alongside visitors to the gallery upstairs. Packaging is biodegradable throughout, and ten percent of profits go to mental health charities, a policy stated plainly rather than advertised loudly.
