Sherlock &Pages

Sherlock & Pages opened at the end of October 2023 in a former hair salon on Catherine Hill, Frome, after three months of renovation. It was founded by Luke Sherlock and Agathe Cavicchioli, who both previously worked in climate and conservation fields, and who settled in Frome after passing through the town on a long-distance walk toward Glastonbury. The shop curates fiction and non-fiction around landscape, nature, history and heritage rather than stocking a general range, and runs a subscription reading group, the Pilgrim's Book Club. In its first year the shop was named the Wainwright Prize Spotlight Bookshop and Faber & Faber's Independent Bookshop of the Month. Day-to-day the shop is run by Sherlock, Cavicchioli and shop manager Kerry, alongside a shop dog named Mona.
