Malpas Farm Shop is a family butcher trading from Beechcroft at Hampton, on the edge of Malpas, for more than a century of continuous family ownership. The shop sells fresh beef, lamb, pork and poultry alongside game in season, sourcing much of its beef from Longhorn herds raised on the Myddelton family farm at Lower Wych in the Wych Valley nearby. The counter also stocks bacon and sausages made on the premises, local cheese, bread, seasonal vegetables and preserves, plus a small range of wine. Alongside the everyday butchery the shop has added specialty lines including Japanese Wagyu beef for occasional treats, while nationwide delivery now runs alongside the original walk-in trade that has served Malpas and the surrounding villages for generations. Staff advise on cuts and cooking times, and orders can be placed ahead for collection. The shop is open six days a week, closed only on Sundays, and remains independently owned by the same family who have run it throughout its history.
