Ross Boats has run passenger trips from Pontoon 5 on Brighton Marina's West Jetty since 1997, a family business still skippered by the same people who started it. The fleet has grown to four boats, including a catamaran licensed for up to 85 passengers, the largest in Brighton's marina fleet. Trips range from short pleasure cruises and mackerel fishing outings to tours out to the Rampion offshore wind farm, power boat rides and ash scattering at sea, alongside chartered outings for hen and stag parties, corporate groups and school visits. The business operates from this single marina base only, departing next to the West Quay pub, and has kept the same family at the helm for almost three decades without expanding to a second site.
