The Kings Arms is a seventeenth-century free house in the small village of Polebrook, three miles from Oundle. The pub changed hands in June 2025 when first-time operators Marc and Julie Chatfield took over the freehold, continuing its run as an independently owned village local rather than a managed or branded site. The bar stocks local cask ales, guest beers and a small wine list, while the kitchen serves a regularly changing menu built around seasonal and local produce in the low-beamed dining rooms. Polebrook itself is a quiet cluster of stone cottages near the former wartime airfield, and the pub remains the village's only pub, functioning as a meeting point for locals as well as visitors travelling between Oundle and Peterborough.
