The Mustard Seed occupies a College Street address opposite the university campus in Lampeter, run as a family operation since it opened. Alongside cooked breakfasts, sandwiches and daily cakes, the café keeps a small Christian book stall and a sheltered rear garden with space for a children's play corner.
