The Studio at Millbank(Crazy for Ruthie Jewellery)

Ruth Patterson has made jewellery for more than twenty years under the name Crazy for Ruthie, working from The Studio at Millbank in Cumnock since incorporating the business in 2022. She holds her own maker's stamp at the Edinburgh Assay Office and works in sterling silver, 9 and 18 carat gold, and precious and semi-precious stones, including a birthstone range. The studio doubles as a teaching space, running two-hour taster sessions, weekend workshops and weekly night classes for up to eight people at a time, alongside private wedding-ring-making workshops where couples forge their own rings under supervision. Ruthie also offers welded bangle appointments and bench hire for jewellers wanting to use her equipment. As a working studio rather than a shop, Millbank House is open by appointment only, arranged by phone, email or through the studio's Facebook page.
