Dumfries House is an eighteenth-century stately home near Cumnock, designed by the Adam brothers and holding one of Britain's most complete collections of Thomas Chippendale furniture still in its original rooms. Rescued from sale in 2007, the house and its grounds are now run as a single-site visitor attraction by a charitable trust.
